Welcoming New and Returning Science Academy Students!

It is my pleasure to congratulate you on being accepted into The Science Academy G/HG/HA STEM Magnet. I commend you on your scholastic ability which qualified you for our program. It is truly important that you maintain and continue your academic excellence in preparation for the rigorous curriculum of our secondary school.

To that end, we will be having a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 for ALL students to go over program requirements and summer assignments. Please note the following times:

9th Grade Incoming and Returning: 3:00 p.m.

8th Grade Incoming and Returning: 4:00 p.m.

7th Grade Incoming and Returning: 5:00 p.m.

6th Grade Incoming and Returning: 6:00 p.m.

If you are a new 6th, 7th or 8th Grader, you must stop by The Science Academy STEM Magnet office on or after May 1, 2018 to pick up an enrollment package. Returning students do not have to re-enroll.

At that meeting, we will be giving out the summer assignments, as well as going over very important school information. Students will be given a chance to get their PE clothes, Spirit wear and other items.

For all new students to The Science Academy, please remember that your enrollment packets are due May 18th. If you have any questions about that, you can contact Ms. Diamond or Ms. Ebert at 818-528-1662.

Enrollment Packets

When you come in to pick up your enrollment packages, please bring the following items with you:

CURRENT UTILITY BILL (must be current and in parent’s name) or
LEASE/RENTAL AGREEMENT (No Cable or Utility Bill will be acceptable)
PARENT/GUARDIAN ID/DRIVER’S LICENSE/PASSPORT
MOST CURRENT REPORT CARD
TRANSFER FORM (if coming from middle school)
504 and/or IEP, if eligible for Special Ed or GATE/Gifted Documents for identified students
BIRTH CERTIFICATE (If the birth certificate is in a foreign language, it must be translated and notarized)
IMMUNIZATIONS/HEALTH CARD (Yellow or transcribed card) - *Incoming 7th must have Tdap.*
ACCEPTANCE LETTER from eCHOICES
