The Science Academy STEM Magnet Competitive VEX Robotics Program

Are you interested in competing in robotics tournaments? Then you should join the Science Academy’s Competitive VEX Robotics Club. The Robotics Club competes in the VEX EDR official 2018-2019 game called TURNING POINT. (Check out the game video here) Teams are made up of 2 or 3 students and there needs to be a parent coach to help the team register for events and order parts for building.  Although you do not have to be in the class to have a team, the Science Academy Robotics Club meets during 8th period / Social Communication on Wednesdays and Fridays. During this class our program mentor Aaron Lucas, a former VEX World Champion, will help teams prepare for the upcoming season.  The Robotics Club has two fields for practice at the school but equipment must be purchased by the team families. Equipment can be ordered on the VEX Robotics website or at RobotMesh.com. If you would like to join the class or register a team please contact Jodi Huff or Tripp Reed for more information.

Can't make a scheduled tournament?

If you can't make a scheduled tournament that you have signed up for, let everyone know on the Shutterfly Site before pulling out officially from the competition and maybe one of our other teams can get on the wait list and get the spot if needed. Most tournaments are all filled up already, so spaces are at a premium.
